Birkett Long is delighted and proud to have been ranked the seventh best law firm to work for in the whole of the UK. 

The firm of solicitors, which has offices in Basildon, Chelmsford and Colchester, has achieved a 2 Star accreditation from “Best Companies”, which rated it as an “Outstanding Organisation” following an assessment of its commitment to workplace engagement.

The firm was also ranked 53rd as best mid-sized organisation to work for in the UK, 25th best company to work for in the East of England and, in the sector ranking, seventh best law firm to work for in the UK.

The Best Companies survey found that 86 percent of Birkett Long employees agreed that the organisation is run on strong values/principles and that over 80 percent agreed that the job they are in has the potential for good personal growth.

The survey highlighted that female staff outnumber their male colleagues by a ratio of 25:75, something that would have been unthinkable when the firm was established in 1821.
