I strive to provide advice to my clients in a way which is easy to understand whilst also lifting the burden of dealing with a dispute. I believe it is essential to provide solutions-focused advice at every step of the way and my main goal is to help clients resolve their matter in a swift and cost-effective manner.
As a solicitor in the Dispute Resolution team, I am able to advise in all types of litigation; both in pre-action cases and those that have reached court proceedings. My work encompasses every aspect of a litigation case, often with the aim of achieving a successful resolution without the need for court proceedings, such as through mediation.
I qualified as a solicitor in March 2020, having gained several years of experience within a City litigation practice specialising in professional negligence. I then moved into another Essex firm where I completed my training contract and qualified as a solicitor, focussing on dispute resolution throughout my career.
Within the Dispute Resolution team at Birkett Long, I regularly act on behalf of clients in cases involving debt recovery, property litigation and any dispute involving negligence or contractual issues.
Whilst I am able to assist in any case involving a dispute, I have developed particular expertise within property litigation acting for both commercial and residential clients. This includes advising on issues such as forfeiture of leases, rent recovery, trespass and nuisance, recovery of possession, enforcement of covenants, and dilapidation claims.
I love that my role involves problem-solving of complex legal issues. No two cases are ever the same when working within dispute resolution, which is what drew me to this area of legal practice several years ago. I undertook my first work placement in a law firm more than 10 years ago and, from the outset, I knew that I wanted to pursue a career in the law.
In my spare time, since the COVID-imposed lockdown, I have taken to improving my DIY skills and have been in the process of renovating my first home. I am also an avid music fan and always looking out for the next concert to attend.
