Probates under £325,000

The obtaining of a grant of probate can be a time consuming and stressful task. It involves personal attendance at Court and higher court fees are payable on a personal application. Birkett Long Solicitors offers a service whereby we will prepare the papers to lead to a grant of probate and make application to the Court on your behalf.

For an estate worth under £325,000 the costs involved are:

Birkett Long Solicitors' fee£795.00
VAT @ 20%£159.00
Probate Court fee (to include 5 office copies of the grant)£157.50
Commissioner's fee on your swearing the papers£7.00

The fees quoted above are for obtaining the grant of probate only and do not include acting in the full administration of the estate.

Please note we shall require sight of the original Will and death certificate, and the executors will be required to produce identification to comply with money laundering regulations.
