I joined Birkett Long in June 2000 as a trainee legal executive, having no experience in the law at all. Since then I have completed my exams to qualify as a Legal Executive and became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in August 2005. I then took and completed the STEP exams becoming a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners in June 2006. In January 2008 I started the final process to complete my exams to become a solicitor, and successfully completed the academic stage of my solicitor’s exams in June 2010. I am now studying on the Legal Practice Course (the penultimate phase to beginning a career as a solicitor in England and Wales).
I specialise in wills, probate, trusts and elderly client work. I am on the STEP committee Essex Branch as Student Liaison Officer and a Full Professional Member of Solicitors for the Elderly.
