Perdeep Grewal

Senior Associate Solicitor

I am an ambitious civil litigator with a strong case success record to date. I provide commercial and practical advice to directors and shareholders of SMEs and private individuals on the best way to resolve disputes. I am based in our Chelmsford office, and am available for a free 15 minute chat over the phone on 01245 453804.

I regularly advise clients upon shareholder or partnership disputes, debt recovery matters, professional negligence claims and commercial contract disputes. I am also part of the multidisciplinary construction team and advise architects, developers, employers, main contractors, contract administrators and subcontractors on all types of construction disputes including payment issues, final account disputes, defects and poor workmanship, extensions of time, breaches of contract and negligence claims. I resolve these claims by commencing or defending court proceedings or by adjudication, mediation or negotiation.

I love the critical challenge of the job as no two days are ever the same. I enjoy winning and obtaining the best possible results. I find the most satisfying aspect of my role is being able to assist and guide my clients to resolve disputes in the most cost effective manner. It is certainly very rewarding when I have achieved the most favourable outcome for my clients. 

I always ensure that my service is tailored to the particular needs of each client. I tackle cases with diligence and employ a strategic approach in litigation and settlement discussions. I am also competent in drafting pleadings for my clients and such efforts have been commended by Deputy District Judge Oldham sitting in Romford County Court.

In October 2023 I was recognised as a 'Rising Star' in Commercial Litigation by The Legal 500.

In November 2023 I was nominated and a finalist for the Rising Star Award 2023 at the Asian Legal Awards held at the Royal Lancaster, London. The judging panel comprised of The Honourable Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb, HHJ Mason CBE, HHJ Sapnara and Upper Tribunal Judge Mandalia. 

In my free time, I am usually at the Emirates Stadium supporting Arsenal FC and I enjoy watching cricket at the Essex County Ground, Lord’s and the Oval. I also enjoy reading, with a particular focus on 19th century British history.
