Julia Kingston

I am a Team Assistant supporting the Divorce and Family team taking enquiries, admin and typing and helping ensure the smooth running of the team. I'm based in our Colchester office, and am available to arrange a free 15 minute chat over the phone on 01206 217358.

I’ve always enjoyed my job and relish being a member of the family team because we are able to help our clients during one of the most difficult times in their lives. I know that clients come to Birkett Long because of its reputation in Colchester and the surrounding area. I too have been aware of the firm’s reputation for excellence for a long time and am very happy that I now have the opportunity to work here.

My career in the legal industry spans almost 30 years, during which time I have gained experience in many areas of the law.

My main hobby is Ashtanga yoga, which I practice as much as possible and am always looking forward to my next class. I love spending time with my family too, and now that I have grandchildren they keep me busy! I enjoy days out with my husband (which normally involves finding a good coffee shop) and going on holiday.

In the past I lived abroad and had the opportunity to volunteer at the children’s SOS Village in Tlokweng, Botswana. I was thrilled to discover that Birkett Long runs a volunteer scheme and I’m looking forward to taking part.
