As Head of Intellectual Property, I have a broad-based, highly international practice in encompassing patents, trademarks, designs, copyright and associated transactions.
My recent work includes elements of cryptocurrency technology, blockchain, fintech, insurtech and agritech, as well as more conventional mechanical and electrical engineering work, including medical devices work in particular.
I act for a large multi-national software company, an established international retail chain, a medical devices PLC, a variety of well-known brands including restaurants, toys and food stores. I have advised the defence industry, and have a Ministry Of Defence security clearance.
During my legal studies, I was awarded the James Bushell memorial scholarship and the Hardwicke award by Lincoln’s Inn. I have a first class degree and was called to the Bar in 2006 (although I do not practice as a barrister), and am a European Trade Mark and Design Attorney. I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys, and of the international association for the protection of Intellectual Property.
I regularly provide talks at universities and technology organisations, including UCL/IDEALondon, Norwich University of the Arts, Centrum, Cocoon Networks, the WeWork organisation and at Somerset House.
