I am a Trainee Solicitor in the Construction team.
My first training seat was in the Divorce & Family department and I was also a paralegal in the Dispute Resolution department for two years.
Prior to joining Birkett Long, I studied at the University of Nottingham and achieved a First Class award in my degree, Law with Canadian Law (LLB). During my third year of university I studied law at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.
I completed my Legal Practice Course in 2020 and was awarded a Distinction.
I enjoy using the skills and legal knowledge I gained at university and putting them into practice. I have always had an interest in working within an area of the law that is centred around people and I find pleasure in knowing that my work contributes to helping others.
I wanted to join Birkett Long not only because of its impressive reputation, but because of its dedication to the community and desire to achieve the best result for each and every client.
I have had many volunteering roles which involved working within the community. For example, at university I volunteered at the Citizens Advice Bureau where I was able to assist members of the public with a variety of financial, legal and consumer problems. Whilst living in Canada, I visited a maximum-security prison and worked with prisoners on human rights issues. I have also raised money for various charities such as the Alzheimer’s Society, Cancer Research and Hope for Children.
In my free time I love to travel, visit new places, and spend time with my family and friends. From a young age, a particular hobby of mine was dancing and I achieved Grade 8 in Ballet. I also love going to the West End and seeing theatre productions.
