I studied on a 2 year secretarial and business studies course in the sixth form at Ursuline High School (1987 - 1989). Before joining Birkett Long in June 2010 I spent 14 years at Weight, Wolny & Trusler in Chelmsford. First of all I worked for a civil litigation and matrimonial solicitor, then when Joann Kebbell joined I worked for her dealing with matrimonial and family law. Prior to that I worked for just over 3 years as a secretary at Marconi Marine for the Engineering Manager, as well as the rest of his engineers. This involved typing various documents and flow charts, ordering equipment etc

My key responsibilities include typing general correspondence, briefs, statements, hearing bundles etc, liaising with clients, courts, other solicitors, barristers' Chambers etc, making client appointments, opening new files, general office duties.
