As Director of IT at Birkett Long, I am responsible for firm-wide IT service provision, security, strategy and architecture.
In IT, no two days are the same. I love the variety and the challenges, both personal and professional, that it brings.
I am a Senior IT professional with a track record of providing high-level analytical and creative management of large-scale end-user computing, applications, infrastructure, service delivery and software development projects. I am an expert in troubleshooting, developing and delivering end-to-end technology improvement and transformation initiatives with full strategy planning and execution, project management and continuous improvement. I am well versed in leading multi-skilled teams, vendors and partners to implement IT roadmaps. I have excellent negotiation skills and an unparalleled ability to communicate at all levels to understand and manage stakeholders’ objectives and expectations.
I came to Birkett Long because they are a local firm with aspiration and ambition. They recognise that making the right use of technology now and in the future are key elements of being able to meet those ambitions and provide the best levels of client service.
I have specialised in Legal Technology Services & Applications. Also, I am a Chartered Fellow of the British Computer Society (FBCS CITP), a Prince II Practitioner and am ITIL-certified.
Most of my free time goes on my community work, but I also enjoy going to the gym and the occasional park run.
I am the Chairman and Managing Trustee of Chelmsford City Youth F.C. I also manage an U11 football team and am a qualified referee.
