I was interested to read the recent case of IX v IY which considered the question...
I provide clients with clear, practical advice, and I am a very personable and empathetic person. I advise on all aspects of family law including divorce and separation, finances, children matters and injunctive proceedings where there has been domestic violence. I am based in our Colchester office, and am available for a free 15 minute chat over the phone on 01206 217378.
I wanted a career in law from a young age, and once I began my undergraduate degree at university, I was interested in family law very early on. I love being able to help people during one of the most difficult times in their life, and I appreciate that the strict application of the law is only half of what my job entails.
I have carried out volunteer work throughout my legal training in order to assist those less fortunate with their legal problems. I also volunteered for the National Centre for Domestic Violence. Whilst doing my training contract, I used to volunteer at the London Black Women's project and participate in a drop in clinic which I found very rewarding.
Outside of work, I enjoy pilates and spending time eating out and going to the cinema.
