About the deal

We were recently instructed by C & W Industrial Roofing Services Limited (“C & W”) to recover £62,753.80 from a main contractor. C & W is a specialist roofing contractor and were contracted to carry out replacement of roof coverings and glazing seals to a commercial unit in Hampshire.

An interim payment certificate was issued for the sum of £52,294.84 plus VAT and payment should have been made to our client in 14 days. The client spent 2 months to obtain payment but without any success. We advised C & W that enforcement proceedings were necessary and immediately sent a statutory demand to the main contractor. Within 15 minutes of service of the statutory demand, C & W confirmed they received payment in full.
