Solicitor qualifies into Agriculture & Estate Team

Lillie Ryan, who began her legal career as a paralegal, is celebrating qualifying as a solicitor this month. She joins the Agriculture & Estates team at Essex law firm, Birkett Long.
Lillie, who first took an interest in practising law at a young age, began her studies at SEEVIC College. She then continued to degree level at the University of Sussex, as she enjoyed the challenge and variety that it brought.
In 2014, Lillie joined Birkett Long’s Wills, Trusts and Probate team as a paralegal, where she worked for two and half years. Then, after being offered a training contract, gained experience in the Dispute Resolution, Residential Property and Family departments.
Lillie praises Birkett Long for its excellent reputation locally and nationally, the high quality of work that it attracts, and on a personal level, said: “My time in different departments was invaluable, as I was able to develop my knowledge, skills and relationships with both clients and colleagues. I consider that the firm really cares and encourages the development of its staff, which I have experienced first-hand.”
Within her new role as a solicitor, Lillie will be working with rural clients, advising them on any private client and property matters.
Lillie concluded: “I feel very proud to have finally qualified as a solicitor after years of studying and training, especially at such a reputable firm.”
