GDPR - What this means for HR?

The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the most important change in data privacy regulation in 20 years and comes into effect in May 2018 regardless of Brexit.

This data protection law will significantly increase the regulatory burden on HR professionals around their data protection compliance. This includes considering issues such as right to information, right to be forgotten, staff training, how you process HR-related personal data (e.g. for the processing of employee payment data) or the legitimate interest of the employer for example employee monitoring.

GDPR has received a lot of coverage and it is all too easy to become lost in the information which has been published, much of which will not be relevant to HR professionals. Our experts will provide  an overview of the general requirements and will then look specifically at its impact on HR data, HR policies and processes.

This is a ‘must attend’ event for anyone who works in this area and has concerns about the affect of GDPR.
