Inheritance tax: don't make quick decisions
- AuthorChloe Hammond
Recently published newspaper articles have contained details of political parties’ proposals, in respect of overhauling Inheritance Tax. Inheritance Tax is a widely debated subject and one which is not often agreed upon.
Inheritance tax is a subject many people worry about, so when they see articles published in the media it can cause panic. This can cause people to make quick decisions instead of taking time to plan how they would like their affairs to be managed.
Time and care should always be taken when planning your affairs. Any decisions you make to get your affairs in order should not be impulsive. Stories you have read in a newspaper, or seen or heard on the news, should not form the basis of any decisions you make. Many of the proposals you might hear about never make it past the first hurdle.
