We were really impressed to see our friends at Lambert Chapman setting up at home to make PPE with a 3D printer – they have produced 250 masks for local care homes and doctors’ surgeries on a 3d printer they bought with money they would have otherwise spent on events.
Nick Forsyth, Managing Partner at Lambert Chapman, told us: “We came late to the party so we know of others who have produced many more than we have, but we’ve tried to run the machine 7 days a week and have delivered around 250 visors to local Care Homes and Doctors surgeries. Our furloughed staff have volunteered to help this happen and it's kept us all in touch trying to do something helpful for our community.”
A big round of applause from everyone at Birkett Long!
Here's the printer in action!
