I joined Birkett Long in September 2010 as a trainee solicitor, where I am currently based in the Employment & Immigration team.
Prior to joining Birkett Long, I studied for the Legal Practice Course (2009-2010) at Nottingham Law School where I achieved a Distinction. I previously studied for a Masters in Law at the University of Sheffield (2006-2008), where I obtained a very high Commendation and was awarded the DLA Piper Prize in recognition of my results. I was Second in the year, in order of merit.
I took a gap year between the Masters in Law and the Legal Practice Course. During this time, I worked as a Paralegal in the Family Department at an Essex based solicitors firm and also worked as a Software Disputes Associate in London.
Between 2003 and 2006, I studied for a BA Honours in Sociology at Sheffield University. I achieved a First Class degree with Honours and was First in the year, in order of merit.
