I joined Birkett Long in 2006 as a trainee having read LLB Law at the University of Nottingham and completed the Legal Practice Course with distinction. In 2008, upon qualification as a solicitor, I joined the Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate team. I chose to specialise in this area having spent nine months of my training contract within the team. In June 2011 I decided to broaden my experience in the contentious side of private client work and am now also a part of the Will and Inheritance disputes team.
I deal with a spectrum of legal issues including will drafting, lasting powers of attorney and elderly client work generally, probate, trusts and tax. I also advise on a range of private client disputes including those concerning wills, inheritance, trusts and the Court of Protection.
I am currently a student member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
