Radmacher v Granatino [2009]

This case concerns a pre-nuptial agreement entered into between the French Husband and German Wife. The Court of Appeal awarded the Husband less than he may otherwise have been entitled to under English law as a result of the pre-nuptial agreement he entered with the Wife. This continues a trend where the courts have been prepared to attach increasing significance to pre-nuptial agreements.

The Husband's appeal was due to be heard by the Supreme Court over the week beginning 22 March and the decision is eagerly awaited.
