CONGRATULATIONS! to all our runners and a big thank you to all our helpers, sponsors and the charities.

Connor Price was fastest male arriving at the finish line in just 14 minutes 12 seconds; Helen Bloomfield was the quickest lady finishing in 16 minutes 25 seconds. Fastest team belonged to 5 Star Boot Camps - Martin Rieksts, Mark Bailey, Carl Saville, Damien Hartshorne).

The top 12s and under were:

Hannah Johnson, 14th Col Brownies - 19:56
Rebecca Warren, 14th Col Brownies - 20:43
Jasmine West, 14th Col Brownies - 22:34
Aaron Marley - 16:17
Thomas Hewes, Keystone - 16:36
Adam Ketley, Allan Chapman & James - 17:54
Jack Wright (missed in error) - 17:07

Penny Heap (5 Star Boot Camps) was resplendent in a witch costume (even dyeing her hair green) which won her the Best Fancy Dress prize/

Unsurprisingly (considering their dominance of the prize board) 5 Star Boot Camps were the Largest Organisation Entry with 83 people.

The Mayor's Grand Prize Draw (where Cllr Helen Chuah picked 2 finishing positions) was won by Andy Cullen of Stanley Bragg (153rd) and Jasmine West, 14th Colchester Brownies (147th).

The 2.5-mile Run4Fun is open to individuals, families, businesses, schools and organisations - essentially everyone!

This year’s theme was 'Witches & Wizards' which was a great excuse to get in fancy dress and join hundreds of entrants in a run around Colchester Castle Park in Essex. Every penny collected from sponsorship, together with the small entry fee, goes to the Mayor of Colchester's chosen charities and Birkett Long's charity for the year.

Run4Fun is suited to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. From budding Olympic champions to those who prefer a stroll around the park – everyone is welcome. A wheelchair-accessible route is also in place.
