Birkett Long Ties Up Deal for Healthcare Homes
Essex law firm, Birkett Long Solicitors, has recently completed a further acquisition on behalf of client, Healthcare Homes Group (HHG).
Since its inception in 2005, the growth of HHG has been notable. This addition to the company’s portfolio makes it the largest care home provider in East Anglia with over 900 beds across 21 care homes. The deal, which was assisted by funding from August Equity, was to purchase the privately owned Manorcourt Care (Norfolk) Limited. The company offers residential, domiciliary and day care services spread across three locations in the North West of the county.
Birkett Long has provided legal services for all of the acquisitions HHG has made since its incorporation in 2005. Philip George, Birkett Long’s Managing Partner, led the team of specialists, which included David Wisbey (Commercial), Jane Calnan (Property), Kate McCormick (Commercial), Tim Ogle (Employment) and Andrea Brown (Commercial), all of whom worked closely with Richard Clough, CEO at HHG.
