Construction
Experience
Advice on the terms of a construction contract and the professional contracts for the redevelopment of an educational establishment worth in excess of £50 million, the purchase of potential development land, advice on the subcontract for the fitting of cladding to a landmark building in London worth in excess of £7 million are just a few examples of the non-contentious matters dealt with successfully by the Construction Law Team. Our non-contentious team deals with all the steps needed to construct a building.
We also have considerable experience in contentious matters through adjudications, arbitrations or litigation in the Technology and Construction Court (TCC), and also the local County Courts. For example, we successfully dealt with an adjudication of non-payment of the main contractor for building a golf club and the subsequent enforcement of the decision in the TCC. We have represented clients in over 20 adjudications.
Clients benefit from the specialist knowledge of the Construction Law Team, which also draws on the skills of legal professionals in commercial property, planning, environmental and company commercial disciplines.
Our construction team is recommended by the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners.
